Forgive the attitude and feel free to just ignore this whole post - but honestly how much crap is one person supposed to take before we impload? I have a short list of things that are making me absolutely LIVID right this minute:
(
Cut for way, way too much swearing and word vomit. )
I hear ya ont the Brady situation. We are at our wits end. Luckily it might slack off since starting 9/2 they are sending home a homework calender. We get to pick one thing to do every night and then initial whatever we pick on the calender. Some of it will be easy and some will be things we take back in. Right now the first page every day is a page for them to write their name (correctly) about 10 times.
One of the biggest things for me is that Megan's 1st grade teachers son is in Brady's class too. She came up to me after the open house on Monday night and was saying how absolutely ridiculous it is the amount of work they have. The reason this teacher is the 'best' is that she has the highest results at the end of the year (of course, that doesn't include any parental insanity she causes) because by the end of the year last year, she had over 20 students who knew 250 or more sight words, could count to 100, and who were doing simple addition. Honestly, I'm just a bit worried. And he is overwelmed but what can we do? We can't not punish him for not behaving in class. We were raised to believe that you ALWAYS behaved in school. I honestly care a bit more about that then perfect grades. Is it wrong to want my kids to be respectful and good?
I swear I can honestly feel the gray hairs sprouting from my head.
