as i tried to warn you a year ago, you cannot help people who don't want to be helped (this would be the stupid people by your description). i'm not saying not to care. please care for your students. i'm saying that you can't be bothered by people that don't want to learn. if you do i'm afraid that you will spend your professional life completely miserable. don't do that to yourself.
It bothers me because I really do care what happens to them. I hate to see people not take the chance to learn and it also is just an alien concept to me to know that some of these kids don't care about improving at all. Here it is more a function of how far that school has declined, and I am somewhat saddened to see that.
