"Fortune's Wager: The Wearing Down of Dr. Leonard McCoy" (5/6)

Jul 04, 2009 01:04

At this point, I'm literally made of 151.

My friends are all, like, “are you gonna die of alcohol poisoning?”, and I'm, like, “you're not even in my will, so don't ask.”

Why's my skin all clammy?

Why does my keyboard have so many buttons that I don't use, like F11, and Prt Scr/SysRq? Bill Gates is weird ( Read more... )

Gah! Grrrrr... but, but, but..!

Are you happy? I've devolved into making unhappy noises and incomplete sentences. I hope you're happy!

Really, I am 'cause I want more like NOW!

I'll have you know I'm very happy. Your incomplete sentences and unhappy cluckings make me chortle with glee. Glee, I say!

Well, thank you for enjoying my pain. There will be more when you write the next installment, I'm sure. You do love to torture me so. *g*

Ooo, this is such a heavy chapter. Well, the whole story's been like that, I guess. And I love it for that. Like, LOVE. I usually tend to read oneshots and stuff, so I'm really enjoying the luxury of getting so close to the characters that this format gives. (And especially when it's so well done, omg).

I also loved the hints of Spock/Kirk in this one - aww! Hope that Jim gets his twoo wuv someday in this 'verse; it would be cruel for him to have glimpsed it and never ever have it in his own life. OH, EMOTIONS. D:

And the vegetarian sandwiches? Pure win. I giggled gleefully at Jim's obvious distaste, but I would eat those up so fast. So delicious sounding. The after taste of healthiness, lol...

Did not see that ending coming. I hadn't thought he would ever seriously take Shrijn up on that. Pavel will have something to say about this - or he'd better. Jim has done way too much of the talking so far. *eagerly awaits next part*

Okay, so . . . I'm overwhelmed.

I'm glad you like, lol. I tend to like exploring characters more than actual, um, plot.

In a lot of TOS fic, Spock's always waiting on Jim to realize. I like the idea of Jim waiting on Spock--who may never realize, has not felt the magic of the meld (though a Jim/Spock meld fic in this 'verse. . . .)

Your hatred and sweet, sweet tears only make Morbo stronger!

Transition piece, a few pages long, hoping to get it posted by the end of the weekend. Something to put the worst of the angst firmly in its grave, while ushering in the funny.

For a shirt fic, it will wear many hats.

OMFG YOU SUCK SO HARD OMG.

Jayzus.
I *cannot* catch a break today. All my favorite authors today are posting angst, angst, and more angst with a side of fuck-wittery *angst* and it's *pissing me off*.

Arrrrrrrrgh!! Grrrrrrrr!!!

*cough*

I love your Jim Kirk. I love his casual slobbiness, i love him in knots over the eulogy, i love him really *trying* for Bones, and his moment of introspection over the 'other' Jim and Spock. Lovely.

But that ending? Are you *nuts*?
*hates*

Teeny thing:Jim does not miss the awful colon-purgings that occurred those shakes spurred almost immediately afterward.

That's not....quite right. :)

Not since college, despite what you may have heard.

You're welcome!

You may wanna get that checked. . . .

I love your Jim Kirk.

THANKS! I know you aren't crazy about reboot!Kirk.

I love his casual slobbiness,

I picture him doing things like that consciously to needle Bones and Spock. Which isn't to say I don't think this Kirk'd be a bit slobby, but some of it'd be put on just to rile the practical neat-freaks in his life.

i love him in knots over the eulogy, She was one of his own. I like to think the guilt and angst and writer's block are a sign of growth. As a person and as a captain. Reboot!Kirk has so much room to grow--he's so small and unfinished. You could take him in a million different directions ( ... )

Angst is my bread and butter. And my grey poupon. I dunno how I'm gonna fare in lighter stories, but I aim to try, ma'am.

Bones was being--cack-handedly--chivalrous. To Pavel, anyway. Not so much to Shrijn, who's a big boy, but still. . . .
