I was worried, so worried, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shake off my fears. Lily is getting worse, and I'm scared, Lauri seems to have left some deep emotional scars with her, and they continue to torment her. She has such a small appetite now. Before Lauri, she would eat last scrap of her dinner, and then ask for more. She'd snack a lot too, and, since she took after me, she didn't seem to gain any weight. But now...now she pushes her food around her plate, uninterested by it. She often leaves over half of it, and now, the weight is dropping off. She weighs the same as she did when she was 3.

"Kulta, how about we order a pizza, extra cheese and stuffed crust, your favorite!" I suggest one afternoon. She gives me a forlorn look, bites her lip, and shakes her head.

"I'm not hungry daddy..." She whispers, and, upon realizing I look unnerved by her answer, she tells me, "Maybe later..." I force a grin to my face, ruffle her hair, but inside, all I want to do is force her to eat it. But I can't....its her choice, and if she's not hungry...

As the weeks passed, she developed another odd habit. In the night, when she's in bed with me, she breaks out in cold sweats. Neither she nor I understand why, I think she has nightmares....she says she doesn't, but how can I be sure.

"God, look at you girl...." I whisper as yet again Lily wakes up at around 5am one night, after having crawled in my bed at 3am. She's shaking, sweating, and claims to be cold. "Darling, are you sure you didn't have a nightmare?" I ask, this being the obvious reason for her strange night time behaviour. She shakes her head.

"No...daddy, I never have nightmares when I'm with you..." She protests. I pull her into my arms and rock her back to sleep. Its then that I notice how pale she's gotten. Her skin as milky white as my own....when I wear make up.

Lily must not be getting enough sleep. She seems to weak, often unable to run around outside for more that a few minutes, and she refuses to move some of her bigger toys. She just doesnt pick them up, sure, she tries, but the weight is just too much for her and before long, she gives up, and walks away. This has never been a problem, why did what Lauri did have such an effect on her troubled young mind?

One summers morning, I hear a crash from outside, and, upon looking out the window, I realize that, yet again, Lily has caught the front wheel of her bike in a gap in the path. Normally, it takes her one big tug to free her bike before shes on her way again, but today, she tugs, and tugs, then gives up in a fit of tears. I rush outside.

"Hey...darling, its ok, I'll get it," I tell her, worried about how upset she'd gotten. I free her bike with ease and wheel it back to her. She continues to sob yet takes it,

"I wasn't strong enough..." She sobs, "I normally am...daddy does this mean I'm weak...he said I was weak..." She whispers, and so I pull her into my arms, and, with a kiss to the cheek, I tell her,

"It just got stuck Kulta....your strong, so strong...you survived what he did to you...you cope with Uncle Linde and Mige on the tour bus..." Finally, I hear her laugh. She loves to tease her uncles, expect Jonne, or 'Tinkerbell' she has a soft spot for him, and he in turn, loves her as much as if she were his own.

One morning, a few weeks later, Lily awakes with what appears to be the flu. She has a fever, is cough, sneezing and looks incredibly ill. So much so, that I decide to take her to the doctor.

"No....don't like it....don't like it..." Lily protests as the doctor ties to take her blood. All he had to do was look at her to become concerned enough to take her blood, and run tests. I hold Lily tight, rock her slightly, and sing in her ear to calm her down.

"No I won't surrender, At any cost, You're something so sweet and tender, From my heart. Yes I've done my evil, I've done my good, Just believe me honey, I won't let go of you. You are the one, And there's no regrets at all, You are the one, And there's no regrets at all..." She barely notices as the needle is slowly inserted into her skin...

"Done," The doctor says. "The results will take about a week, so book an appointment for next Monday," With a nod, and a thanks, I take Lily's hand and take her home. She goes to bed straight away, without eating dinner...

The next week goes by so slowly, and I feel as if Monday will never come. Lily is getting no better, shes still no eating, the weight is still dropping off, and she gets weaker by the day...

Arriving at the doctors office that Monday afternoon comes as somewhat of a relief. Finally, I'll be able to get some answers about Lily's condition and behaviour.

"I'm afraid its cancer....Leukemia...."

After an absence of...2 whole days....I bet you guys missed this! Anyways, comments are loved!
Also, was anyone at 'Get in the ring' Last night, and if so, what did you think.
Personally, Turisas rocked it for me, closly followed by deathstars, and, it was my first time hearing The Zico chain, but damn...I want their album so bad! And I got tot meet them afterwards! YAY!
Then I awoke this morning with a huge ass bruise on my hip, and a neckache from hell, but it was sooo worth it!
