Sorry i haven't updated in a couple of days, mild writer's block and a desperate need to watch Annie. Then there's an English project i've got to worry about so my posting may be a little staggered over the next couple weeks, but i shall not give up!

The car the Valo’s sent to pick him up was much nicer than the police wagon he’d been in the last time he’d ran away. The ride was a lot smoother and he wasn’t scared half out of his mind. He watched as the city melted away into countryside and the car came upon a huge mansion. He’d never seen a building so big. The car stopped and someone opened the door for him. He looked at the blonde haired man who’d opened the door, he smiled at Bam and motioned for him to follow. He hitched his bag a little higher on his shoulder, it held everything he had in it, and he followed the driver. Up a flight of concrete stairs, through a courtyard garden, then to a huge oak door. It opened with a creak and a young boy peeked out.
“DADDY! MOTHER! He’s here!” The boy shouted and Bam smiled and he was ushered inside. A family stood before him. Two sons, a mother and a father. He felt like such an intruder.
“It’s so good to have you!” The mother gushed, then she introduced herself as Anita Valo. He smiled and kissed her hand. She laughed and commented on the manners he seemed to have. “Come now, let’s get you cleaned up and into some nice clothes. Jesse and Ville want to show you around the house.”
“This place is three times the size of the orphanage.” Bam looked around, his eyes trying to take in the beautiful images that covered the walls and the ceiling. “Wow.”
“Come on, I’ll show you to your room.” Ville smiled at him and motioned for him to follow. “Let Linde have your bag.” Bam clutched the cloth bag close to him.
“I’ll get it back, won’t I?” Ville chuckled and took the bag from Bam, handing it to the blonde man.
“Of course, come now.” Bam nodded and followed the taller boy up a marble staircase. “This is the first floor, Mother and Father have a room at the end of the hall, and Jesse’s room is right here.” Ville explained to him, but Bam could barely concentrate on anything but the sound of his voice, it shot straight through his body, making him shiver slightly if he thought about it too hard.
“What about you?”
“I have a room on the second floor, that’s where you’re room will be as well.” Bam nodded slightly and Ville turned down a hall, which lead to another flight of steps. “I hope you like it here.”
“Thank you.” Bam replied, not even convincing himself he was excited. He knew that if he liked it here, he wouldn’t want to leave, but he knew he had to leave. But he didn’t know if it would be wise to run away from this place...or those green eyes.
Ville paced the hallway while the boy cleaned himself up, however the pacing didn’t stop his mind from wandering into areas that he was sure that a boy’s mind should not go. Frowning he sat on the floor and put his head in his hands, he knew that this would turn out badly. Bam didn’t even sound excited about staying here. Ville thought it would’ve been any orphan’s dream to get out of that place, for at least a little while.
So why?
He stood and began pacing again. What was different about this boy? Making a noise in his throat, he turned about face into someone, knocking them both over.
“I’m sorry!” Bam’s voice was whispered beneath him and Ville shook his head. He was sprawled atop the body of the younger boy.
“It’s alright. Seems as if you’re clean now, how do you feel?”
“Out of breath, you’re crushing me.” Bam replied and he scrambled off of him quickly and they laughed. “So, are you going to show me around?”
He showed Bam the entire house from attic to basement. All the living rooms, the dining rooms, the ballroom, the billiard room, the tennis court, the pool. Bam just stared in wonder at most of them. His beautiful blue eyes gazing in wonder of the things Ville took for granted most of the time. You really never know what you have until you look at it through the eyes of someone that doesn’t have anything. It made Ville think back on previous conversations that he’d had with his parents and brother, he felt like such a prude, such a brute. He would have to think more carefully about these things in the future, but now it was time to concentrate on what Bam was saying.
“You have a pool in your house.”
“Yes.” He replied, a slight smirk on his face.
“You have a pool in your house.” Bam repeated again, like he couldn’t believe it. Ville just laughed and pulled Bam from the room. “Now where?”
“The dining room, it’s lunch time. Are you hungry?”
“Very much so, Mr. Valo.”
“Call me Ville and I’ll call you Bam. We’ll be friends.”
“Friends?”
“Of course, if I didn’t want to be your friend I wouldn’t have asked my father to bring you here.” Ville smiled and they joined the rest of the family.
