Chapter Nine (and links) Chapter Ten
Bam dropped into the half pipe, happy to be skating after a few days of just sitting around the house. He tried not to feel guilty for having fun with his friends while Ville sat alone in the house. Pulling off his trick, he landed on the top of the pipe. “Skate!” he yelled, pointing at Novak.
“No problem, babe.” Dropping in, Novak completed the trick Bam had just done. He did one of his own and got to the top, pointing at Dunn. “Skate, dude.”
Dunn dropped in wrong, slightly out of practice, and fumbled the trick. He sighed as Bam and Novak pointed at him, laughing and informing him he now had SKA, while Novak had only an S and Bam, as usual, had no letters. “Aw, fuck you guys.”
Grinning, Novak blew him a kiss. “Hey, five hundred cash on the table, I’ll fuck you frontways.” He turned to Bam, holding up a fisted hand. “Odds or evens, Bigs.” They shot for it and he groaned as he lost.
They continued their game until Dunn had SKATE and Novak had SKA. Bam had tripped himself up trying something complicated, and had given himself an S. Sweaty, but grinning, they made their way back to the house, shoving each other and laughing.
Dunn lit a cigarette, scratching at his beard. “So, really. Where’s Ville at? Why’s he being all anti-social?” He caught the brief weird look that crossed his friend’s face. “Is it us?”
“No, dude.” Bam shook his head, flipping his deck around in his hands. He hated lying to his friends. “He’s just a little sick.” Which, he supposed, wasn’t exactly a lie, so it was probably okay.
“C’mon… He’s Lazarus! The man rises from the dead.” Novak laughed. “Let’s go get the bitch and head to the bar. There’s nothing a little booze and fast company can’t cure.”
Snorting, Dunn shoved him. “Half your diseases come from booze and fast company. Do you really want to recommend that treatment to Ville?”
“Will you stop talking about my boyfriend and fast company?” Bam glared at them for a minute before laughing. “Grab a beer or something. I’m gonna see if Willa’s up to boozing it up.”
Ville had shut off all the lights, pulled heavy curtains over the windows. He lay in bed, the covers over his head. Hearing Bam burst into the room, he didn’t move.
“Ville? Baby, are you okay?” Bam turned on the light and saw the lump under the covers. He sighed and sat down, easing back the covers. “Hey…” Looking down into blank green eyes, he touched one smooth cheek.
“I’m fine, I’m me yet.” Ville sat up, letting out an irritable sigh. “I don’t think I’m going to be any fun tonight, my love. Maybe you lot should just go without me.” He dropped his gaze to his lap.
Bam shrugged. “Too bad. You’re coming out.” He pulled a protesting Ville to his feet. “Dunn and Novak wanna see you. And I told them you were a little sick, so it won’t be weird if you’re quiet.” Kissing him swiftly, he grabbed his hand and dragged him down the stairs.
Smiling with no real emotion, Ville said his hello’s to Dunn and Novak, accepting the gentle teasing that seemed a staple of their friendship, but for once, returning with none of his own. He stayed close to Bam as they finished their pre-gaming.
“Yo, babe, you’re fuckin quiet tonight.” Novak nudged Ville gently with his shoulder. “The millionaire treatin you right, or do you want me to slap him around a bit?”
“If I need to slap him around, I’ll do it myself, Nudie. But thank you.” Ville slipped an arm around Bam’s waist, smiling as his boyfriend kissed his cheek.
Dunn pretended to puke. “God, you guys are so sickening.” But the small smile he couldn’t quite hide gave him away. “So are we going drinking or what?”
“Uh-huh!” Bam and Novak yelled nearly at the same time. They both started laughing. “Life partner!”
Seeing Ville’s slight pout at the term, Bam cupped his face and gave him a soft kiss. “Love you,” he whispered.
Smiling just a bit more genuinely, Ville wound his arms round Bam’s neck, pressing close. “Love you back, Bammie.” He kissed him again, ignoring Dunn and Novak’s groans and puking sounds, before pulling away. “Alright, you lot. Let’s go get pissed.”
Once there was a fair amount of alcohol in his system, Ville started acting normal again. He flirted with Dunn just to see him blush, and made bets with Novak on how fast he could seal the deal.
Bam smiled, watching Ville unconsciously demand to be the center of attention. Even in torn jeans and one of Bam’s old CKY shirts, eyes still slightly red, he was beautiful, and made sure everyone nearby noticed.
“Twenty bucks cash on the table,” Novak was saying, gesturing towards a hot girl. “And I’ll be banging the bitch out in the bathroom in five minutes or under.”
Eyes shining with amusement and alcohol, Ville dug in his pocket and slammed a twenty onto the table. “Now, let me see yours.”
“That’ll cost you forty, sweetheart.” Novak and Ville both started giggling, till the former addict shook his head. “No need for mine, Ville. I’m gonna be ball deep in that broad in five. Start timing.”
Reaching for Dunn’s wrist, Ville set the timer on his watch, making sure to run his fingers teasingly over the inside of Dunn’s wrist as he did so. He grabbed his beer and stood, leaning against the booth in a studied pose. When he caught the attention of the girl Novak was propositioning, he smiled just a bit, flicking his eyes away.
Rolling his eyes, Bam snorted. “And Novak loses twenty bucks he doesn’t have tonight.” He watched his lover continue to flirt, hooking a thumb into the belt loop of his jeans, finger pointed down to draw attention to his crotch. He knew all of Ville’s tricks, but they never seemed to stop being hot.
Ville met her eyes again, smirking as he watched her gaze drop to his strategically placed hand before coming back to rest on his face. He ran his tongue over his upper teeth, letting his eyes slip half shut as he slowly licked across his lower lip.
Dunn was laughing, looking between Ville’s performance, and Novak waving his arms and saying obscene things that somehow seemed to work for him. “Dude, Nudie doesn’t stand a fuckin snowball’s chance in hell.”
“Nope.” Bam smiled a bit smugly. “The hottest man in the room, and he’s comin home with me.” He nearly lost it when Ville stretched languidly, letting his shirt ride up over his flat tummy, still watching the girl with a small smile and hooded eyes.
“So, babe, what do you say? Are we gonna seal the deal here or what?” Novak tried to keep her attention, knowing his time was running out. “I’ll bang you out every which way but Sunday; you’ll be beggin for more.”
But she wasn’t paying attention. She was watching Ville pout his lips in a half kiss, dropping her a wink before stalking to the bar, his movements slow and catlike. She broke away from Novak with a quick ‘no thank you’ as Ville leaned over the slightest bit to rest his elbows on the bar.
Dunn jumped up as the timer on his watch went off. “Time! Novak, you fuckin pussified bastard!” He laughed hysterically, pointing to where the girl was now talking with Ville at the bar.
“Oh, that cock-blocking asshole!” Novak laughed anyway. “Whatever, babe. I’ll get another one.”
When Bam saw Ville glance at him over his shoulder, he grinned. He got up and strode over to his boyfriend. “Alright, I think it’s time to let the pretty girl go.” Fighting a grin at Ville’s calculated pout, he took him by one skinny arm, pitching his voice low, but making sure the girl heard. “What’s your chick gonna say, man? C’mon.”
“Chick? You’ve got a girlfriend?” She gave Ville a half disappointed, half disgusted look. “Pig,” she muttered, before stomping away.
Ville managed to keep from laughing, letting Bam drag him back to the table. He smirked at Novak. “That’s twenty you owe me. What’s wrong, couldn’t sell her any dreams?”
Novak chuckled, that dark, dirty laugh of his. “Yeah, wonder why, dick.” He pulled out a crumpled twenty and threw it on the table. “Well, the poor girl is all hot to trot now, I think I’ll go hit her up again.”
