The only reason I can think of (in the fictional universe, that is, not because of sloppy writing) for the Backup Team to be so trustworthy is that the Leverage team made it about pride in their work.

*nods* I agree; money + "I need you" is a powerful combination of incentives.

Given that Sophie spent a lifetime thinking her cons only affected her targets, with absolutely no fallout, it's safe to say she has blinders.

That's an interesting point. I guess professional conpeople have to develop (or start with) mental attitudes analogous to those of, say, soldiers or doctors; without the blindspots (hmm, I think this is Watt's Blindsight v 0.000001), the emotional overhead is too much sustained performance becomes impossible.

*laughs* Good point about Elizabeth; I bet she's constantly reminding Walternate about the "more flies with honey" approach.

re Nina: oh, she thinks it's COMPLETELY moral to shoot Olivia up with Cortexiphan--fate of the world at stake, and all.

Yeah.

Nimoy is no longer working, but I'd have given a lot to see a Fringe prequel series about different versions of the Nina/William/Walter gang back in the day.

With the right writer, that'd be a great comic.
