You are all too right my dear. It's not your heart, nor is it your duty to tend to it. Cause you got a father that knows way more about it any ways. David would say "He refreshes my soul"(Psalm 23:3). Your soul is your mind, will, and your emotions...David(a mighty warrior!/killin machine) relied on God to tend to his heart and soul. I think you're in a good place love. Also remember He does not delight in sacrifice, or burnt offering...but a sacrifice of a broken heart, and a contrite spirit(Psalm 51:16,17).
All that said love, keep that chin up, eyes to the sky. He shines all over you(inside and out).
