Sherlock Season 4 thoughts

Hi, Sherlockians!
I watched Season 4 with hope in my heart and fingers crossed. While there were some things to like in every episode, my overall reaction was:
Season 4 Episode:
1. Not Sherlock
2. Yay, a new Sherlock episode!
3. Not Sherlock ( The gory details, from a writer's perspective )

Hmm, bittersweet seems to be my theme for fics this year. But then, Tolkien was a wise man, and his Middle-earth was filled to the brim with the loves and losses of life.

In this new fic, the remaining members of the Fellowship gather for a Shire-type Yule in Minas Tirith. They feel their losses, but the love goes on. lotr fic - gen

I finally read Leonard's Boston University College of Fine Arts Convocation Address, which I'd marked a couple of days ago when I was doing major Leonard Nimoy surfing. I was so saddened to learn of Leonard Nimoy's passing. I only saw him in person once, at a StarFest here in Denver. Star Trek IV had just come out, and he spent his whole presentation excitedly talking about how they made the whales look real. He was personally humble, generous with his thoughts, and passionate about his craft. He really enriched ( Read more... )
