Her room seems so empty, even though all of the furniture is still in place. She doesn't need to take any of it with her and moving it would be a hassle, anyway. It is a perfect spring day; cool and sunny with fat, puffy clouds drifting lazily overhead. There are multicolored tents trying hard to look as they did in the Renaissance period, and people in costume everywhere doing the same. Mallory is glad to be back in the village. Ryu has been spoiling and taking care of her since she showed up in the bar after her accident. Having a broken right wrist has been frustrating, but the pain medication has been keeping her in better spirits, when she lets herself take it. Fourth of July fireworks.

A fencing tournament in style...
Mallory enjoyed not having to worry about expenses as she planned the accommodations for herself and Ryu for the day before the fencing tournament, and for the remainder of the week. It was expensive, but she felt it was worth it when they arrived and were shown to their corner suite in their hotel, and had a gorgeous view of central park ( Read more... )
