"Nobody ever comes here, because there are fences and no trespassing signs all over. We have the whole place to ourselves."
She opens her door, pleased to find that it's not to overwhelmingly hot outside. When she'd bullied her brothers into coming out here to help her cut some of the grass and pruning back some of the lower tree branches by the water, it had been sweltering.
"And the pond's safe to swim in...I checked it for faeries and anything else, and the worst we'll find are sunfish."
