I did get a second phone interview on the other position.. but I haven't heard anything back from them. With the training schedule, they need to have a person hired very soon, so I assumed they'd be able to let me know very quickly, but so far nothing. Well, I decided to reopen CashDuck. It won't be live again until mid-October, but I decided that I shouldn't throw it away - I'm going to rework it so that it is a lot less work and a lot less costly to run. The new job is going pretty well - there is fairly intensive training which goes on for a LONG time, which is good because I have a lot to learn. The research people in the cancer hospital are a lot more involved in their patients' care than I was with my patients in transplant. The data collection is also much more detailed ( Read more... )

I got the job - as of January 1st I will be working in hematology (ie liquid cancers like leukemia and lymphoma) and bone marrow transplant. They are indeed going to pay me buckets of money. I get to get the hell out of my department. I am so effing excited!!

On Wednesday I bought some crickets and brought them home and put them in a box with a piece of bread. (Two escaped; the cat caught and ate one, the other was squished under a fork.) I took the rest to work with me the next morning and gave them to the gecko - he ate all but three in about five hours, which is pretty fast for a little guy eating ( Read more... )
