I used to laugh when the "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up" infomericials came on, but not any more. Last year it was the fuschia that held on for so long. Sadly, not this year. But the geranium..still producing blooms even though it's Nov.16th. I don't know if its because it's hanging under a large tree and is getting some warmth from that, or it's just stubborn. When I was a kid, my brother and I would go outside in the summer and catch fireflies and put them in glass jars with holes cut in the lid. After a while, we'd open the jars and let them go, but we almost always caught at least five or six of them apiece. So I was taking the Mr. to work yesterday and we were stopped at a red light. When it changed to green, I started to pull out into the intersection, but hesitated a bit, because there had been some plastic junk out in the road the day before. Found out some interesting information the other day. The Mr. has started to go back and try and make sure that most of the people that we took pictures of are identified so that when our kids and grandkids look at them, they will have some idea of who they're looking at. We got back from vacation yesterday, so this morning I headed up to the Post Office to pick up our mail. Glanced out the window on the way and saw 5 big turkeys hanging out in someone's yard, not too far away from the sidewalk. I don't think I'd want to try and convince these guys to yield the 'right of way' to me!
