MSPA Wiki Personality: Vriska is first, foremost and best known as a "bluh bluh huge bitch." She's incredibly selfish, and doesn't take other people into consideration. She will do nearly anything as long as it's to further herself, and that's how she gets into the most trouble. She's killed countless nameless trolls to feed her lusus, she's unashamedly crippled one of her roleplaying friends, and even after having done so continues to make his life difficult (building stairs for him and telling him to apologize for being paralyzed). If that isn't indicator enough, it would be advisable not to ever go against her. Those who have done so have ended up blinded and even dead.
She loves extreme adventure and action, as seen by her former fondness for FLARPing, which is a game of EXTREME roleplaying. She follows in the footsteps of her ancestor and has looted all the treasure. She will go to any lengths to advance herself. Everything for Vriska is always about her and her games. This also makes her a bossy mcbossy pants. She's the one who created the ultimate bad guy in Homestuck just so she would have an ultimate villain to fight. She personally had a hand in helping John ascend to godtier so she could say she created him. She is, proudly, the "driving force behind all unseen events" in the kids' game session. She has a tendency to brag about her "accomplishments."
However, there is another layer to Vriska, one she doesn't show for fear of appearing weak, since trolls are such a violent race. It's natural for them to kill, so therefore it's unnatural for her to feel bad about doing so, which she does, when she kills someone close to her. This comes out when she's talking to John after she killed Tavros. It's also shown in her attempts to apologize to Aradia by having the Aradiabot made for her, and how upset she got when she couldn't give it to her. Even more recently, it's demonstrated by her final conversation with John where she asks him out on a human date, where the subject of killing won't even come up. It seems in some ways she wants to change, be better, if by human standards.
Oftentimes, Vriska will victimize herself. She does bitchy things, mean things, horrific, cruel things to people, and then she'll sit and wonder to herself why no one seems to like her. It couldn't be her fault, after all. And when things don't go her way, it's because someone else is scheming and plotting. She's also a bit envious of people's natural talents, considering she doesn't have many herself. Most of what she's done is through forced manipulation and general use of powers, and she hates that someone like Terezi can easily manipulate someone without the use of powers.
Generally, Vriska keeps her insecurities buried beneath her bitchiness and tends to provoke people. It isn't beyond her to take things too far, and she often will.
A lot of Vriska's life has been influenced by her ancestor, Spinneret Mindfang, who kept a journal of her exploits. Vriska found the journal at a young age, and many of her decisions and actions have been based off this journal, consciously and unconsciously as well (such as her forcing Tavros off a cliff, or the loss of her eye and arm). She sees Mindfang as someone to emulate and tries to do so.

First Person Sample:
[The camera comes on and at first, you just see a spindly leg pulling back very quickly. Then Vriska is sitting there, patting down her chest as if looking for some sort of injury.] Guess I still have all the luck. Aaaaaaaall of it. Just wait until I find her... huh?
[She picks up the gear after a second, kind of glancing it over.] Where the hell did this come from? Is it... it's recording me, isn't it?!
[And the feed shuts off.]
[About ten minutes later a text goes out.]
Anyone want to explain to me wh8t ex8ctly is g8ing on here????????
This is n8t a gr8 time to 8e r8ndomly appearing r8ndomy rand8m places!!!!!!!!
And why do I look l8ke some s8ft fleshy human........?
Third Person Sample: Being a soft fleshy human didn't change much for Vriska. There was still much to be done, even if paradox space had seen fit to throw her into some alternate universe with strange spider creatures that decided they were her pet. It felt so backwards, yet at the same time somewhat familiar. She still had to feed it, though at the very least this one didn't eat other trolls. Just berries, mostly, from the sounds of it. That was much more doable in her opinion, considering she'd been thinking way too hard lately about what killing meant, and whether it was such a bad thing or not.
Here in this Joh-whatever place, though, she didn't have to bother with killing. Apparently, all the little creatures did all the fighting, which was pretty damn strange. She was okay with that for now, though, it gave her something of a break. Plus, not having to worry about the constant looming threat of Jack Noir at the moment gave her time to think over things more clearly. She didn't need to rush off and fight him now. It almost felt as if she could relax a little in this place, which was nearly a foreign concept. You couldn't relax back on Alternia, you'd be dead, and being on the Veil was almost a constant state of paranoia for most (though not her, because she was better than the rest of them). From what everyone had told her, it seemed that this place was pretty safe, except for occasional havoc wreaking Pokémon creatures.
So maybe being here, and even being human, changed just enough. John had made being human sound pretty good, so as Vriska usually did, she would take full advantage of that. Speaking of John, he'd been one of those many to contact her, so she had to get a move on to some place called "Goldenrod." Apparently it would take her a while to get there, so she'd better get started as soon as possible.
Picking up the pack, she slung it carefully over her shoulder before remembering she no longer had wings, which was good, because if she hadn't remembered she would have tried to take off into the air in a second. She'd gotten used to being able to do that.
She nudged the sleeping spider nearby with a red boot. "Let's goooooooo, Marquise. We have places to be and people to see. The life of Vriska Serket is never not full of irons to be stoked. So get a move on already!"
