Otherwise there is the option of a private flight by VectorzAirlines to any airport in the Uk, and most airfields. But it's recommended that somebody else foots the bill ;)

I think I might fly to Rome instead. It's 2h from either Florence or Rome to this middle of nowhere place, so I may as well travel to the bigger hub.

There is a train station, from there you can go to Florence. Then (according to exceedingly helpful Italian train information websites) one can get a stopping train to Rome that stops in the middle of nowhere also known as "where the Ginger One has decided to get married".
