✖ HOW TO PLAY
The basis of the roleplay is this: you AKA your character has been thrown into a game known as the "Reaper's Game". An entry fee has been taken from them, their most prized possession specifically, and they have seven days to complete the missions or they WILL be erased. You can play as a player, a Reaper, a neutral character/someone who helps the players out, or even some random guy in the middle of the street. Whoever you want to be is allowed here! You can also play as a canon character that was still around at the end of the game. However, some things are a bit different:
- Plot; this time around, there's new characters for everything, even if there were still standing at the end of the previous Reapers' Game. It's been two months since the previous game. The Composer has been knocked off of his throne, someone having defeated him, and there are now new Reapers filling in the previously vacant roles. There's something wrong with this game, though. The Composer is gone, said to have gone completely insane, and the game is run by the Conductor once more. But there's something corrupt about it now. The reason it was brought back was so that players could get a second chance if they proved themselves. But now players are being erased left and right! No wonder the thought of getting rid of the game permanently has come to mind.
- Original characters; original characters can either be players, Reapers, 'NPCs', or neutral characters that actually know about the game. Both the players and the Reapers have their own abilities, ones that can only be used in the UG. Players can choose between using pins or their abilities while Reapers, much like the ones in the game, mostly use their abilities or their Noise forms. NPCs can be people in the streets that need to be standing there so that the players can complete a mission [like Reaper Creeper], people that cause events, or anything else you want. The neutral characters are much like Mr. Hamekoma in their role: they help the players or the Reapers out.
- Canon characters; the original characters from The World Ends With You can appear in this, except there's one little catch: the original players remember everything that happened to them in the UG and can actually see what's going on in the Reapers' Game, though they can't interact with the new players. The players' memories, however, take the form of Noise that the new players are defeating out of instinct; those memories are disappearing fast. The original Reapers can appear as well, even if they were defeated and disappeared, but if they return, they've actually been brought back to life; but if you do want to bring back a Reaper that was defeated, you can to think of a good way/reason to bring them back. However, neither the original players nor the original Reapers have any part in this new game. But something's wrong with this game this time around... maybe it effects them, too... [ if you want to play a canon character, please give their history in the character background to show how well you know them ]
- Reapers; a community will act as the Reaper's 'headquarters', though it's just like in the game and its the exact same place. All of the entries are friends-locked and only the Reapers can look at the posts. All of the Reapers have to erase a certain amount of players per week and a list of all of their 'points' will be kept in this community. All Reapers must erase 15, or 10 if 15 is too much, players by the end of the month or they will be erased without question. However, if their point count stays at zero for a week, they have 5 days to erase seven players or else they will be erased. The rankings of the Reapers will be selected by the roleplayers on a first come, first serve basis. There will also be wall reapers that are NPCs. Who the Composer and the Producer are will be secret to everyone, however the Composer can be played in the actual RP; much like Joshua appeared but nobody knew who he really was.
- The Game; the Reapers' game is exactly like it is in the DS game, but there's some changes to it. Players receive missions VIA their cell phones, get a timer on their palm, and have to complete the mission within that time limit. If another group of Players complete the mission first, they complete it for everyone. By the end of the week, the remaining players take on the week's Gamemaster and must defeat them to get out of this game. Some players may come back to life, others will be forced to replay again, and some can go join the Reapers.
- Entry fees; each players has to give up something in order to play this game. At the beginning of each week, a Reaper will come on the main community and say that it's time to give up your entry fee. Everybody lists what that fee is and then the game can start.
- Missions; missions will be released on the main community everyday. An entry will be created in the logs community and all of the players MUST post in it to complete the mission. A list of where all of the walls are and what you must do to open them will be listed in the entry text of the entry.
- Mission timelimit; for the time limit, each post, or two if one is too little, in a thread [ for each mission there will be a thread in the logs community that all of the players must post in ] will count as a minute. So, if you have 60 minutes to complete a mission, you must do so before the thread reaches 60 posts. ALL posts count in this, unless of course someone is spamming like crazy, including those made by the Reapers.
- Partners; all players MUST have a partner! If you don't have a partner, the Noise will chase after you and you will be erased before you're able to even complete your first mission. Partners will be either assigned by drawing names or numbers out of a hat or just by the players finding partners themselves in the RP.
- Pin Slots; since all of the players are able to use pins, they have to have pin slots. Everybody starts out with being able to equip a maximum of four pins. Every two weeks, RP time [ not real time ], everybody gets a new pin slot.
- Abilities; much like the reapers had in the original game while players didn't have this at all, all characters playing the game now have abilities that only they can use within the UG. These abilities are weak at first, but by the end of the game are just as powerful as the pins are. However, please note that if you have an ability where godmoding or powerplaying may ensue, you'll be asked to change it before you're accepted. Otherwise, these abilities can be whatever you want! Just remember that things have to balance out, too: either your character is stronger with psychs or their ability. [ that last sentence doesn't apply to reaper characters, though, since they don't use pins ]
- Erasure; just like in the game, all players can be erased. But, instead of just causing them to disappear just like that, this'll be a bit more RP 'friendly'. When a player, or players, is defeated by the Noise and becomes erased, they face the Composer or the Conductor [ depending on who is there; in this case, it's the Conductor ] and are given a choice between being erased and becoming a Reaper. However, being 'erased' won't mean disappearing, though this is unknown to the players. However, the consequence of becoming 'erased' is going to be unknown until somebody actually get erased. [ but it'll be something along the lines of what happens to everybody with the red pins; the players might become puppets or something... ] If the previous players defeat the week, however, then those who were erased can come back into the game and try again, though they lose their memories of the previous week and everyone they met during that time.
- Winning the Game; so what happens when you complete the game? As far as anybody can tell, if you win the game, you get your second chance. However, something about having wishes granted may come into play...
