Here via a rec from keepaofthecheez. She quite right in calling this a masterpiece. I've read a number of knife/bloodplay fics in a number of fandoms and never thought about your very logical points about them. Rest assured that you more than succeeded in avoiding the stereotypes.

I just stumbled across this fic and wow, this was not only good, but also believable. Spot on with their characterizations, you've accurately captured their dynamic - especially with a deviant plot like this which deserves extra kudos. :D

This story was astonishing. It's probably everything I would want in a knife/bloodplay story myself -- you delineated the reasons quite succinctly -- with a wonderfully nonjudgmental Sam, who just wants to give Dean everything he needs. Very hot, very *thoughtful*, and overall fantastic.

I have no idea how I found this story, but it was absolutely beautiful. the power dynamics and Dean's need to be hurt was just amazing. and the fact that Sam was completely willing to give Dean whatever he wanted, that was the hottest part.
I loved the plot :)
