Stirred, not shaken

It's bad enough that WVU lost to its old archrival Pitt.

It's worse that we could've clinched a spot in the national championship game with a win.

But worst of all, I got ran off the road by a tractor trailer on the way home.

But don't worry; I'm fine.

Since we won the conference, we are still available for a New Year's bowl game. (Sure, I have to rearrange the flight reservations I originally made for Biloxi, but...)

Oh, the car thing? Well, since I always put the cruise on the speed limit -- in this case, 70 -- I tend to get passed.

It was 12:15am, a couple miles north of the Roanoke exit of I-79 (90 miles north of Charleston), when a tractor trailer decided he had finished passed me and approached my lane. Fortunately, it was in a straight stretch, so I pulled a quick right and straightened the steering wheel back, hit the brake, and braced myself as I glanced off the guardrail. (Also fortunately, there were no other vehicles for me to ricochet into.)

Getting out to look, maybe the worst damage was to my gas door; most of it broke off. As for the remainder of the right side of the car, there's several indentations and lots of scrapes, and perhaps the front-side bumper light was sheared as well.

And the claims process begins....

football, car, wvu
