Adopting a Baby Ruth

I just found out from my friend David's mom that he and his wife adopted a baby girl from Guatemala. And while I'm a little upset I didn't hear about it before now -- although his mom swears she told Chad -- it's a wonderful Christmas gift

If the Mayan empire extended into Guatemala, that would be a clever name.

Regardless, it is a pretty name.

But aren't there Mayan temples in Guatemala?? That's the whole reason I want to go there. As if I will ever get to.
