Okay. I wish I could try it out before I bought it. I suspect that Yuki hates combs regardless of their hair-pulling properties.

Just as a thought, have you ever tried a curry comb? Our cats hate combs and brushes, but they're unanimously in favor (in varying degrees) of curry combs.

We have one of these, which I think qualifies as a curry comb, though I call it a brush. It has short rubber fingers. Altair grooves out on it, but Yuki-chan hates it. She can stand it a little longer than a flea comb, however.
