Very true. My doc said the exact same thing about CF patients a week before my transplant. It's a sign!...heh. But he did say that CF patients tend to keep their sense of humour even though we're really sick. The wait is long I know but you've been strong through out this whole thing. If not physically than emotionally and mentally. Christmas and New Years are coming up and you might get a present if you will. The holidays are the time for people to get transplants. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that we'll find a post on your journal saying that you got some news. I don't know you personally but I do know what you're going through and every day I pray that things will get better for you and your family and one day this will just be a distant memory for you. You're too young and too full of spirit to let this get the best of you.

I'm sorry to sound so ignorant, but what is CF? I just found your journal and I've never heard of it before. Is it..terminal?

I could totally copy and paste that into my blog! But I won't of course, its an Eva original. People often wonder how it is that I can be so close to people I've never actually met. And I tell them that no matter how close I get to someone they will never truly understand how CF makes me feel. Mentally, emotionally, and most of all physically. That's why I spend so much time talking to other CFers. I can talk about snot and poop without offending or grossing someone out. I don't have to try and explain the pain of pluerisy or the taste of mucus when you have a nasty infection breweing. And that's why I cry when one of my Cysters or fiBros is hurting, or dies. That's why I worry for them, and that's why I love them ( ... )

"six dimensional in a sea of three" will likely remain with me for the rest of my life. I wrote in my High School yearbook that my objective was to be "two dimensional and live in a swamp". But in all seriousness, my strength to you though I may need a bit for myself. I had a kidney transplant 60 days ago. All is going well, and with love from family and friends -- not to mention my sister who gave me the kidney I am recovering very well ( ... )
