Just a note: I read the book Kouga Ninja Scrolls before I ever heard anything about Basilisk, so by chance these are more based on that instead of the animation or manga. Please also note that Tenzen's character appearence in the book is much more like his appearence in Shinobi Heart Under Blade, and that's what I use more often.

Tenzen by chance met the young Kouga in Hatori's garden. The dark-haired youth held an azure ribbon in his hand and when Tenzen's bored gaze fell upon it the boy replied to the unspoken question, “It's for the princess of Tsubagakure, I've heard it will go nicely with her eyes...”
