Just a note: I read the book Kouga Ninja Scrolls before I ever heard anything about Basilisk, so by chance these are more based on that instead of the animation or manga. Please also note that Tenzen's character appearence in the book is much more like his appearence in Shinobi Heart Under Blade, and that's what I use more often

I just stumbled onto these. And I'm glad: they are awesome!

I also readThe Kouga Ninja Scrolls a while ago, and I desperately searched for some fics, but there are virtually none! (Beside yours...) I am sad about this; it's such an awesome book.

I feel your Tenzen is very true to his character in the book, although I haven't yet had the chance to watch either the movie, or read Basilisk. He's very cold, and more scary than the others for some reason...well I guess the word I'm looking for is merciless.

And the tone of your ficlets also fit well with the tone of the book.

Thank you very much! (Sorry for the belated reply.) You will enjoy the animation Basilisk it's very, very close to the book though there are a few differences such as Koshirou's powers and a full episode of the characters before they went to war, which was interesting but lost me for a minute, lol. The movie is very loosely based, but still interesting!
