Mick reached into his pocket as he headed down the street towards the penthouse he shared with Josef, his fingers wrapping around the small velvet box hidden there. His heart leaped at the thought of what was in that box, and what it meant for his future.

And Josef's future, as well -- if his lover actually said yes. All he had to do was wait for the right time to ask the question, and then it was all in Josef's hands.

All Josef had to do to make him the happiest man who had ever existed was to say one single word -- one little syllable that would light up Mick's life and fill his heart with so much joy that he couldn't be absolutely sure he could handle it all.

What if he didn't say yes? What if he wasn't ready for a step like marriage? After all, Josef was over four hundred years old, and he'd never even thought about taking that plunge before, not even with a woman who he'd thought he loved ( ... )

This had to be wrong, Steve told himself, leaning back in his chair and closing his eyes. He shouldn't feel this way. Not about his partner.

But he couldn't help it. All those weeks ago, when he'd first started seeing Catherine and Danny had been delighted that he'd finally gotten laid, it had been so hard not to say the words that had tried to push themselves to the forefront of his mind and out of his mouth.

"I wish it had been you." What would Danny have thought of that? He would probably have done a double-take, looked at Steve incredulously, and then laughed it off as being some kind of bad joke. But somehow, their friendship would never have been the same ( ... )

I ADORE Steve! I'm not such a big Danny fan, but I'm trying my hand at them since there's such an obvious chemistry there. I've definitely found a new fandom!

I've started a series for H5-O that's Steve paired with an OMC I've created (who has Jason Dohring's face, because damned if Moonlight didn't get me HOOKED on the Alex O/Jason D pairing). Are OC's allowed to be posted here within fandom fics, or do the stories posted here have to be either completely fandom or completely original?

I always like when I can sneak you guys giving me prompt ideas in with challenges! *grins* I'll do a master post of the stories and save the pics/quotes!
