I've read seven books for this challenge so far. I'm also doing the Queer Writers challenge, so I'm not worried about being slow.

I recently picked up Ruth Ozeki's A Tale for the Time Being because someone on this comm mentioned it, and I enjoyed it a lot. It has lots of interesting stuff about zen and physics, and the two main characters have really distinctive voices. It deals with some heavy subjects but never felt bleak to me. All in all a great read.
