Over 1000 people have joined the community since it's debut in the LJ Spotlight. As they say in those VW commericials....HOLY!

Just wanted to take another opportunity to pimp the Best Books user poll. If you haven't already voted, please do so! I've also placed links to the poll in the sidebar and in the community info. I'll leave voting open

Thank you for leaving the poll open a little longer. I'm having the devil's own time trying to decide which of my zillion or so books are my top five favorites! It will be interesting to see the results.

There are so many posts being made right now (291 yesterday alone!) that any mod posts I made are scrolling off the front page so fast, not a lot of people are seeing them. So, I'm going to keep trying to point out the book poll each day (possibly more than once) until I close voting, to get as many people as possible to respond. I don't have a set day in mind on when to close voting...I'll keep monitoring the membership numbers and when they start to level off from people joining via the spotlight, I'll see where we stand.

Don't wait too long to vote, though! :)

It is a nice thing, isn't it? You don't have to rack your brain here as you try to figure out what the bloody hell someone was one when they began to type. Lovely community you've helped to spawn. =3
