I have this book and I loved it. Of course, Neil Gaiman is my favourite author (hence my username ha ha), but I'd never experienced anything by Terry Pratchett before, so this was a lot of fun for me. I have one of Pratchett's books, I don't remember what it's called. I'd have to look for it. It's a shame he's passed, but I do want to get all his stuff now, b/c if this book was nearly as much fun as the rest of his work, I'm down for it. :)

I am gradually collecting all of Neil Gaiman's books. I inherited all of Terry Pratchett's books from my dad. I introduced him to Douglas Adams a long time ago, and he went through them so quickly that I had to ask around to find similar authors. Pratchett was suggested, and I finally got everything for him, although a couple had to be copies because I couldn't track down original sources. He loved them, and while I never had read any of them, it was a source of joyful bonding. He was not computer savvy, so I, being from a bookstore background and a bibliophile myself, was in charge of keeping up with all of his authors and hunting down out-of-print works. I was just sad that he didn't get to read the last few. Terry Pratchett out-lived my dad by one month, and the latest books I got for my dad's birthday and Christmas came just a little too late. They are all in my library, though, and I will read them some day. I believe The Colour of Magic is the first one.

+hug+ I'm so sorry for your loss. :'( I know that you keeping the books and eventually reading them, though, your Dad's probably excited to see that. <3 Pratchett was really good, and I love Douglas Adams! I have the whole Hitchhiker's Guide series. I got them for my birthday a couple years ago. ^_^ They're some of a select few books that will never leave this house without me in tow. I won't loan them out.

I have several of Gaiman's works on my Nook in epub format, and I've got....I think just American Gods in paperback format. Found it for a dollar at a thrift store not from my apartment. You find the craziest things in the unlikeliest of places!

I haven't read Mostly Harmless yet but really enjoyed the rest of the Hitchhiker's series, as well as Last Chance to See, Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, and Dirk Gently's Detective Agency by Adams. I have a couple of others by him that I will read someday, too, but I don't think any of them are novels. Yes, I find books in many odd nooks and crannies, as well. My current wish list is still over 30 pages long. I just carry it with me if I think I might be somewhere that may have books. I can't afford to buy new books anymore, and even the online used sources are a bit pricey for me once they add shipping. Library book sales and thrift stores are the best. And I have found some old, rare ones I was looking for, too, for a dollar or less. :)
