I quite liked this book, but I think Scarlett Thomas works so much better when she isn't trying to be so clever. I find this and PopCo just became didactic and a little naive... I think that her very simple style works so much better in simplistic, almost fantasy books like Going Out and Bright Young Things. Just my opinion.
