1001 Books

2. A Fine Balance, Rohinton Mistry. 624 pages.
Once I started reading this book I had difficulties stopping. Mistry paints a picture of 1970’s India that comes alive, and the characters make you care about them. Warning, though: this is not a feel-good novel. Exceptionally well-written and realistic, though.

I've started crocheting, so I get neither enough reading *or* crocheting done! :D

My favorite Pratchett books are the Nightwatch ones...I love the interaction between Vimes and Vetinari, for one thing.

Have you ever read Wilde's play, "The Importance of Being Earnest"? It's fun a light, a nice counterpoint to Dorian Grey.

I'm still getting into Discworld, but so far I think I like Death the best.

I have read The Importance of Being Earnest! Multiple times. It's one of my favourite plays and it made me think I would like Dorian Grey more than I did.
