30 Days of Thanks, Day 23: Homeschooling
I'm thankful that, but for first grade, I was homeschooled, and I'm thankful that I'm able to give the same type of education to my children.
I may not be a genius, but I do believe I turned out alright, and got to explore my own interests, learn about *real* life, and be with my family throughout the process.

30 Days of Thanks, Day 22: Washer & dryer
On this laundry day I am grateful for my washing machine and dryer, which make the task SO much easier! They were a wedding gift from my uncle, who co-owns an appliance store, and such a tremendous blessing they are. Praise God for generous uncles and reliable large appliances! :-)

I cannot begin to describe my thankfulness for my firstborn. She is still the delight of my days, even while sometimes the most challenging part as well..... and she is well worth the challenge!

30 Days of Thanks, Days 19 & 20
Day 19-
I'm thankful for my digital camera and Photoshop!!! My camera is nothing fancy and doesn't do perfectly everything I wish it would, but we get on very nicely. And for all that my camera (and my skill) lacks, there is Photoshop. How I would make it without this wonderful program I do not know. I'm glad I don't have to! Today being her birthday, it seems quite fitting to voice my thankfulness for my sister-in-law and friend, Amy.

30 Days of Thanks, Day 17: Deals
My photo system goes like this: I no longer scrapbook, at all. I have a family album, and an album for each of the girls that covers one year of their life. The family album gets 40 pictures each month, and the girls' get 15, so that's about 70 pictures that I usually purchase per month. I'm thankful that Elizabeth had the idea for this thankfulness project, and invited us to participate along with her. Each night when I crawl into bed I've been thinking for the past while, "what am I thankful for today?" What a lovely way to end my days- dwelling on all that I have to be grateful for! 30 Days of Thanks, Day 15: Shout
I love Shout. You know, the stain remover. It's such wonderful stuff. It got permanent marker out of one of my favorites among Mia's dresses today, and I think that's all I need to say. I'm thankful for Shout!!! :-)

I'm sure I've covered this in detail, but I have to say that I am so thankful for my mother. She's just an amazing person, always showing new sides of herself. She's been there for me as I was growing up, and she's always there for me now that I'm grown. There have been a handful of times in my life when I laid eyes on a garment and felt as though I didn't merely want it- I needed it. It generally happens that the garment is expensive or it simply isn't in the budget at that time, and I fall to dreaming up ways to make it mine.
