[released March 23, 2016]
The theme this month was "classic and rare pairs". People submitted their votes for the pairs via Twitter.
The two of them talked about their relationship, and reflected on a little bit of their history together.
Classic pair - first place - tie
B.A.D (Kiriyama x Nakama)
Kiriyama: Oh, we're the number 1 pair!
Nakama: That makes us happy!
Kiriyama: Well, we entered the company, quickly became B.A.D, and have been together all this time.
Nakama: The history of our pair dates back about 12-13 years.
Kiriyama: Even though Johnny's WEST debuted with 7 people, the relationship between us is still stable.
Nakama: It really is. When the members are meeting, Akito will understand what I want to say without me saying anything, but with the other members, if I say 10, they won't understand 10.
Kiriyama: Ahaha! That's true!
Nakama: I think that kind of thing is possible because we've been together since a long time ago.
Kiriyama: And then, for me, the person I can complain to is pretty much Junta-kun. He's also given me advice. I don't even think I've gotten advice from my parents. But as for Junta-kun, when I'm having a hard time, I'll send him a mail.
Nakama: Yeah. Well, even without saying anything I know when you're troubled.
Kiriyama: Moreover, we became part of a group. Because it's not just the 2 of us anymore, there are probably even more troubles to listen to.
Nakama: There's also things that have changed because we became a group of 7.
Kiriyama: I mean, when it was the two of us, we had the feeling of already being like veteran entertainers. But when we got mixed with the younger members, Junta-kun became someone who could be made fun of (laughs). It's a face I wasn't able to bring out, so it's refreshing!
Nakama: I've really become someone who can be made fun of. But it's not true that I wasn't like that when it was the two of us.
Kiriyama: Is that so? Well, you've been called "someone with no motor nerves" since long ago. Speaking of, at first, you couldn't slurp noodles!?
Nakama: I have no suction force.
Kiriyama: This black ramen came out. Despite the fact that you'd actually want to be surprised about it, you were saying things like there'd be no way you could do it. You said, "ehh! I can't slurp that!"
Nakama: That's nostalgic (laughs).
Kiriyama: While the staff were laughing, you said, "wait! I'll practice!" and sucked up one noodle after another... are you a girl!?
Nakama: Ahahahaha! Actually, when I think back on the jobs we did, we did various things~. "Why were we chosen for this!?" I'd think. We also did some strange jobs.
Kiriyama: Um, like the
Saga International Balloon Fiesta?
Nakama: There was that! It was about 5 years ago? We went with Hakata Hanamaru Daikichi [comedy duo].
Kiriyama: Because it was the first time we'd seen hot-air balloons, we couldn't come up with significant comments, and we were like, why?
Nakama: It was a pretty amazing event. They didn't just move to the goal using the hot-air balloons, in the middle there was a mat where they could drop things. It seemed like a competition where they'd steer to the goal with speed and accuracy.
Kiriyama: Yeah. But there was quite a bit of rain and wind (laughs).
Nakama: I just remembered, we came in close contact with the American or some other overseas team right?
Kiriyama: Aah! We were helping them prepare for the competition.
Nakama: And then, when it started, that team went off course, and we were wondering where they went.
Kiriyama: Ahahahahahaha!
Nakama: "Hm? They didn't come back," we said. Even though we'd become close with them (laughs)
Kiriyama: Moreover, the hot-air balloons move slowly. They couldn't start one after another. So, they'd break the first team record, and with the the new team record, they'd be like, "okay, it was broken again!" The event was really loose (laughs).
Nakama: When we had free time, we went to the entrance of the venue and ate dumpling soup.
Kiriyama: Really, it feels like on that day, we just ate good food and went home.
Nakama: Thinking of it now, we've been able to have various interesting experiences. I want to do them again!
Kiriyama: Really. We're waiting to have more "why us" types of jobs!
Nakama: B.A.D still won't settle down!
