Note that I am self-taught, and not a native Japanese speaker. There may be errors. Feel free to share, but please don’t claim this as your own translation. Corrections are welcome.

The theme for this month was letters, so he talks about fan letters he's received, a letter he remembers vividly, a letter that he wrote, and some recent events.

Things that were often written to you in fan letters from a long time ago, things that are often written now
In the past people often wrote "how do I become funny like Akito-kun?" Right now, I get a lot of "it's fine to stop losing weight," and "but right now you look very cool." Saying that is like saying it's better for me to lose weight. Which is it (laughs). That's the kindness of all of the fans (laughs).

An impressive letter. A letter that you remember
The letter I received from my homeroom teacher at my middle school graduation. He wrote one to every member of my class, though I don't remember the contents at all, I was really moved! I remember only my letter was thick because he earnestly wrote it by hand. I'm still close with that teacher, so he even will read this issue of WiNK UP, and definitely tsukkomi me with "so you forgot" (laughs). Next, the actor who was my understudy in "Blood Brothers" gave me a letter on the last day, which made me really happy. It said "even though I was an understudy, you treated me like a cast member, which made me happy. I'll definitely do my best to be able to co-star together." That person recently got a lead role in a stageplay, I was happy once again because I was the first person he reported it to. If I get a letter, it makes me really happy. So I was really happy when my school teacher gave me that letter as well. Even though I don't remember its contents (laughs).

What's an experience where you wrote a letter seriously?
Because there’s electronic mail, I don’t have an experience of earnestly writing a letter. I send thank you letters to reporters at least (laughs). I don't know what I should write in a letter. I've also never bought stationary; I don't have the letter-writing culture in me. However, I'm really good at writing essays. Because I'm really good at writing a lot, I want to write a novel. I have one I'm thinking of. I'll write it if WiNK UP-san lets me do it for a project (laughs)!

Recent status
I went to the ferret shop to buy stuff, but I fell in love at first sight with a baby ferret there and bought it (laughs). It's palm-sized♡ It has no teeth at all, and it's very healing. Right now I'm in the middle of deciding it's name. Because it's pure-white, maybe Meringue, or Ame-chan, or Penguin. When I've decided I'll let you know!
