Potato 2015.07: Kiriyama Akito

The theme for the interview was weather, because the rainy season in Japan had arrived. (interview was done mid-May)

Q. An event that recently made your heart sunny?
When I was praised for the concert goods' character I became really happy~. I liked the result, but actually if I had heard 50% of voices like "eh?"... I would have become anxious. Because if there are 100 people then there are 100 different feelings. But at the venue of the first performance, when the staff there contacted us and said "it's selling," I was so happy I was about to cry.
Q. "What man" do you think you are?
Rainy man. Basically, it's always raining. School trips, excursions, sports events all have the impression of rain, it also rained at the first Kansai Jr. Osaka-jo Hall concert, and it rained when we had our debut conference at Abeno Harukas. My presence is probably a sunny man. I can talk with anyone, I start off talking, and I have the role to make people excited! Sunny!
Q. What kind of weather would you compare your mood to right now?
I asked my father what he wanted to eat for his birthday and he replied "I want to eat tempura." It was hard to make a reservation at the restaurant, we're going later today. My older brother is also coming, it'll be a family dinner for the first time in a long time. That's why I'm sunny. But the sky is rainy... and a typhoon is coming... (laughs)
Q. On the day of your date, it suddenly rains! What kind of plan would you do?
I like the basic sunny day plan though. If it rains... I won't despair, but we'll try to do it all moving in a taxi. We'll go eat dinner, watch a movie, go shopping... everything in a taxi. The challenge is to try and make it really luxurious. We'll even come back to the neighbourhood shops in a taxi, after eating dinner, we'll go home holding hands!
Q. Think of a way to enjoy the rainy season:
I'll pickle plums! And then take it out after 5 years! About pickling plums, right now I don't know anything about it, but anyway I'll do it (laughs).
Q. Think of a recent event:
Recently I've been watching stageplays. First off I went to see one that a co-star was in, I feel the flyer I received there looked like it had an interesting production. Kazama (Shunsuke)-kun's appearance in "Better Half" was good~. And then, during this tour, all of the members have become addicted to marshmallows. It contains a huge chocolate. Somehow they're really popular during rehearsal.
