I will be in the big apple for a week starting Nov 2. Does anyone know of any interesting Deathrock bands or bars to go to?

 I haven't written here in a long, long time.

What's new? Well, I have been working at a very, very boring job at HI. Writing for FFWD magazine as an art reviewer, and joined the New Gallery Board of Directors and assumed the title of Vice President.  Moved into a very small apt in Bankview with Ben.

I suppose that is an update.

I'm starting to think that Deathrock, is no to be considered a subculture, as I cannot find a symbolic fit between the values and lifestyles of the group. The deathrock subculture originated from a number of antecedents and influences. Musically, deathrock is used to identity a subgenre of punk or goth, which emerged most prominently in the West ( Read more... )

It's our forth day in Berlin, Germany and Ben and I are phoning up flats, with our new german cell phone in Tiergarten in hopes of finding an apartment. We are currently staying at the Circus hostel (the hostel Tressa, Jahan and I stayed at last time) until we find a place. Our first few days here were rough.
