What a great story! Good for you, I hope this works out. The funding to publish a graphic novel is like pocket change for a hedge fund manager, so I think it's entirely realistic that he'll foot the bill if his publisher doesn't bite. If you end up doing this and a GN about your Katrina experiences, that'd be quite the interesting juxtaposition, no?

But watch out,

This sounds like the beginning of most Nior pictures.

At the very lease, I would like to see the book about you meeting the guy, with an ironic twist at the end.
