I read three books lately whose protagonists were children:

-Cruddy by Lynda Barry - This is the novel Hunter S. Thompson would have written if he were a sixteen year old girl. But with a higher body count. Very creepy and difficult to put down. Lynda Barry is apparently better known for her graphic novels. I'd be interested to check them out ( Read more... )

Oh, I enjoyed it a lot. I'd never read anything by Salman Rushdie before, and I'll try to seek out some others. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

I usually try to write posts about books that are longer than two sentences, but this time it just wasn't happening.

I got your e-mail about coming here for the DNC. You're the second person I know who's probably coming for it, so I'm selfishly glad it's coming here. :) (That and I think that having it in Denver will help them in the election.)

You should totaly check out Lynda Barrys other stuff. The book that you read is one of my favorits. Her other stuff is a lot different then the book that you read. She has done a lot for comics. One of her comics was made into a play.
