Wow, that was really good. The dialogue fitted both the period and the characters - I especially liked Elizabeth's comment about Mary attempting to seem intelligent - and it's a very plausible pairing (although I've only seen the TV series ^^) The last paragraph is kind of sad, but I also like the horror Elizabeth has of Mary and Mr Collins actually getting on.

(Typo in the last line: 'duty' not 'dute'.)

Thanks :)

I absolutely *loved* the TV series and it's one of the few things I've bought a video of (others being football videos and Dr Who! Eccentric mix? Me?), and I kind of had visions of the characters as they're portrayed in that as I was writing. I could 'hear' Elizabeth and Jane's voices as in the series.

Eclectic, not eccentric ^^

My friends who've read the book and watched the TV series felt the TV series did an excellent job. I found it incredibly gripping ^^ it probably helps, hearing the characters speak!

Thank you :)

I thought it fitted both words. And I really oughtn't to be posting under this LJ but I can't be arsed to change...

I really liked this, it was a good insight into Lizzie's feelings, I think. I thought he was going to marry Mary too, they would have been a good match, I think. Mind you, then poor old Charlotte would probably have stayed unmarried for ever! There's a typo at the end "her's", oops!
Also, sorry to be a pain but could you tag this with your pen name and 'jane austen'

First time I've ever tagged anything was when I just tried to do it now. Sorry if I've done it wrong, but I've never tagged before. (Yes, it's true, a tagging virgin!)

lol! Well, you should have seen the problems I had trying to get it so that the community would allow anyone but me to tag anything! I'll go and look, and let you know *g* it's just to make it easier for people to search through all the fics, as there should end up being quite a lot!

*looks forward to multitude of fics*

*wishes she had inspiration for ANY more*

I know very little about P&P but I liked it anyway. It's sweet.

Good :)

It was just time to make the story happen as I'd anticipated it :)

Oh hell no, most of the time I read rubbish. I just have a thing for Jane Austen. (I even read the fan fiction books that people have written about What Happened Next, too. Just to prove it.)
