If there was one word she could use to describe her past few nights of dream-travelling, it would be this:

Mind-blowing.

In the sense that she'd like to take a gun to her head and just shoot herself awake, just to spare herself any more drama from visiting the subconscious minds of Paradise's inhabitants. Part of her even felt slightly bad; some of the things she's seen, she's pretty sure were meant to be private and confidential. But it's not like she can help it that Paradise was throwing her into all these dreams. Unless she didn't sleep, and while she felt the guilt, she needed the sleep even more.

From a RED base to a flower field to a temple and then a Japanese house, she was a bit surprised by the sudden normalcy of the setting in front of her. The loud snoring coming from the man was annoying, but nothing she couldn't handle. What interested her were the pictures though. All girls. She headed over to the mantle to inspect them further.

There is really no rhyme or reason to the way the photos were organized. Aside from the oldest of the batch standing in the center--a younger version of the man on the couch, smiling brightly with his new bride in his arms-- the rest of the mantle is occupied with the captured moments of some of the inhabitants' happiest memories. Prom pictures, family softball games, cut-throat Christmas death matches to see who would be the first to open presents that year, there was a picture for almost every major holiday as well as a number of milestone achievements of the many girls in the house ( ... )

"I apologize, I did not intend to intrude," she politely replied. "I don't really like going to people's dreams either, but the past few nights have been...eventful."

"For someone that don't like goin' into dreams, you sure seemed interested in lookin' at those." She motioned with a slight jerk of her chin to the fireplace and the photographs on top.

[When Spy drifted off that night, he was expecting his usual dream of a delicious meal and a good lay.
In his subconcious he felt surprised to see such a sweet setting around him. He enters the room with a trained silence, unbothered by the sleeping man.

When he spies the photos, he draws in a curious breath. These are pictures of the Scout's family (he's seen enough to know). Curiously, he reaches out and takes one, narrowing his eyes at it.

He jumps as the man snores and tucks the frame into his jacket, turning on his heel to inspect the rest of the house.]

[Tonight, Scout found herself site-seeing from her rooftop. She could see the glowing silhouette of the city from there, and the closeness of the other buildings on her block made it easy for her to climb the fire escapes to find the best view. Even in dreams, the rooftops were her sanctuary when reliving old memories weren't on the dreamer's agenda.

It was summer out here, so all she needed was her blanket spread beneath her, and the cola she had brought up with her from the icebox.]

[After some wandering about, Spy finds himself almost lead to the rooftops. It's warm, but the fresh air is refreshing as he steps out onto the fire escape.

He climbs one swiftly, pulling himself onto the roof and striding toward the ledge, looking out upon the city like some sort of masked vigilante.]

[Having made herself comfortable on the neighbor's roof, she didn't see the intruder, but she did hear him. Sitting up so her head was just visible over the ledge, she squinted down at the back of the figure that stood on her rooftop.

The moonlight neatly outlined his shape while casting the rest of his silhouette into darkness. Even though she shouldn't have recognized him at this point in her life, she knew exactly who it was down there. After chugging down the rest of her drink and wiping a stray drip off on the back of her hand, she tosses the empty bottle in his general direction so it shatters a few yards short of his feet.]

Oy Rémy! You jus' gonna stand there all night or are ya gonna get up here?

[She had her arms crossed beneath her chin on the ledge as she grinned down at him.]

BLU had been sleeping peacefully, until he fell off the couch with a thud, expecting the bed he was lying on to be much bigger than this couch. Rubbing the back of his head he sat up, blinking at his surroundings.

Where the hell was he? This place sure didn't look like Paradise ... Actually it looked like.. somewhere else he had been.. With Engineer and Miss Pauling and a RED Sniper much different than the one that was here. But the name and the memory escaped him. Standing he went to the window peeking out and trying not to wake the man in the recliner.

The street outside was surprisingly quiet. Not a single car with its blinding headlights, no homeless man or woman begging for a bit of cents, no stray cats yowling in the alley, for a city as busy as Boston, even for a subconscious memory of it the silence was unusual.

However, nothing could be more out of place on these streets as the loud cry of "WOOHOHOOOOOO! FUCK YEAH, GIRL!" that pealed through the peaceful night. The low rumbling sound of a creature running, a big one at that, shortly followed the outburst.

"We're eatin' at the winniners' table t'night!" Rounding the corner of the street was none other than Scout, sitting on top of a husky. A seven-foot husky. The girl did always have a thing for large dogs.

BLU just stared. And he kept right on staring until the pair came into view. That certainly was the RED Scout, and she sure was riding a gigantic puffy dog. When BLU's choices were to either stay inside and risk waking up whoever was in the chair or risk going out there and possibly getting a bat to the face before being eaten by a giant dog, his choice was clear.

BLU headed for the kitchen.

With a sharp intake, RED was startled awake by the dream he'd having, whatever nightmare it was this night still bothering him as he sat up. He rubbed his eyes, looking around the room groggily, moonlight through the window painting the space in dim shades. As his vision refocused itself on the furniture in the room, one thing was made apparent: this was not the couch he'd fallen asleep on, nor was he in RED base at all ( ... )

Daxter had thought the couch was pretty comfy and had actually stayed there to watch the game show awhile...until the guy's snoring annoyed him Really, who slept in a dream? The Ottsel had sauntered out to check out the rest of the house quickly enough and was currently in the kitchen.
