BLU glanced around the place curiously, he'd been in a forest hunting only a moment before, but as dreams go he couldn't remember how he'd gotten here. But then again, it didn't seem too troubling. He had the odd sense that he shouldn't be here.

Looking down at himself, tired and sweaty, pants and boots drenched in mud, in fat he was leaving muddy footprints on the carpet as he walked. Shouldering his bow he headed away from the sounds of the party, hoping to find a way out.

Going deeper into the mansion, BLU will hear the sounds of a party coming from the next room. However, entering said room will reveal that there was no one inside. Furthermore, the noise now seems to be coming from the next room instead. This process will be repeated a few times.

He reaches up to scratch his face, wondering what to do. He obviously shouldn't be here, his boots were still inexplicably tracking mud wherever he went, and he seemed to have crossed over himself more than once, though he couldn't recall turning around.

Going to one of the windows he peers outside.

Outside, BLU will see the countryside. It appears that it is late evening, as the sun has set and the stars have already appeared in the night sky. There are some red lanterns outside too, glowing gently in the dark.

"Strewth."

He'd lost several hours to this place already, checking his watch he frowned, shaking it and holding it to his ear to hear the familiar ticking. It seemed to be in working order. He wound it anyway, just to be safe.

Turning abruptly he spotting a fringe of purple, almost drawing his bow before remembering he was in a mansion, and probably didn't need to shoot anyone. "Oi! Anyone there? Come out now an' stop skulkin' around."

There's silence, and then...

Someone starts singing.

The voice seems to be coming from the next room too. It seems to be the voice of a very young girl. BLU's request goes ignored, for the singer happily carries on with the song. It seems slightly louder than the chatter of the party though.

"Hey? Can ya hear me?"

He heads towards the sound. "Someone there?" He heads into the next room, only to find nothing. Grimacing he takes off running in a random direction, hoping to foil the Mansion by moving too fast.

As he heads deeper and deeper into the Mansion, he'll start to hear the whispers. At first they start off as a quiet murmur, easily overpowered by the party go-ers revelling and the singing. But as room after room goes by, he'll find that the whispers are getting louder and louder. He'll pick up accusatory and spiteful vibes from them: little pricks and jabs in a foreign language that he probably cannot understand.

"Hn."

He frowned at his surroundings, not liking the sounds he was hearing. Shoving his hat further down his face he headed towards the singing again. Opening door after door, still tracking mud around. When he starts to spot more lanterns out the windows he figures he's headed the right way, possibly to the outside.

It would appear so as well; there's the sound of running footsteps, and now when he opens a door, he'll be in time to see the next one close just as he enters. The cacophony from the party seem to be decreasing as well but in its place are the whispers; horrible, spiteful and mean.

And of course the singer carries on singing the same song, over and over again.

There's also been an increase in the number of breakables per room. BLU will have to start being careful that he doesn't knock down any of them.

BLU charged after whoever was opening and closing doors right in front of him, but he seemed to be always just too late to see whoever it is. Finally he stopped, perplexed by a room that was almost totally filled with vases on pedestals. BLU wasn't a patron of the arts but even he can see that these things are valuable, and he doesn't even know who they belong to.

He snakes in between them, careful not to knock any of them over. He passes a window and sees a hint of the outside world, a pool with a .. statue? A figure? It was too dark and distorted for him to tell, and he didn't want to linger by the window. Something about the whispers surrounding him was really unsettling, and he fingered the handle of his kukri, just in case.

There's the sound of tiny footsteps coming from the next room, and a little giggle, that of a young girl's. All other sound disappears, fading away to silence.

When BLU enters the next room, he'll catch the back of a little girl dressed in a traditional Chinese outfit of red and blue. She's just about to slip through the doorway into the next room, but his appearance catches her attention as she pauses, already halfway though. She doesn't turn back though, and a second later the door shuts with a click.

Adorning the side of the door are two big red lanterns, each with a Chinese character written on them. They glow with a cheerful red light that seems almost too...cheerful for the circumstances.

BLU stops when he catches sight of her, actually relieved that there is someone else there and it wasn't all just in his head. He hesitates, unsure if he should follow her, it didn't seem right to chase a child through what was presumably her own house.

He flicks one of the lanterns, watching it twirl around while he debated what to do. Finally he knocks on the door.

"G'day in there. Can ya hear me?"

There's no reply. But if he presses his ear against the door, he can hear the child happily skipping among puddles, singing her song once again.

He listens for a moment before opening the door. "I ain't tryin' t' chase ya. Just wanna know where I am an' how t' get out."

He approaches the girl, his feet squelching in something red and squishy. He looks around the area and at his feet with distaste. "Th' hell..."

She froze and whipped around, complete shock coloring her face. She stares at him, unmoving. She seems to be struggling to say something, but in the end she gives up and just stands there, silently and wary, her posture giving her away as being afraid and nervous of him.
