Finally, back home. BLU shoulders his Machina, his working Machina, and heads out. The dust curled around his shoes as he stepped into the sand and he grinned at the familiar crunching sound under his boots. Shrugging off the nagging sensation that something was wrong he maneuvered behind a ramshackle building and set his eye to the scope, first glancing at the point, and then around to see where his teammates might be.

Save for RED in his vantage point from the building. He spotted his rival on his way out of the base, a grim smile crossing him. "It's just you and me now," he muttered to himself, shouldering his Sleeper. He wanted to get closer for this, down where he could move along the landscape if necessary. This wasn't just him taking out targets and defending a point. This was two Australians and a matter of pride between them.

A moving shadow caught his eye and he snapped to attention, but it was just an eagle soaring overhead. Pulling his eye from his scope he sneered up at it, distracting him momentarily from the battlefield.

His aim would have been spectacular had it not been thrown off just as he pulled the trigger, a voice beside him startling him. Though only moved a fraction of an inch, it was enough to ruin the shot. He looked at the perpetrator: a rabbit, sitting next to his leg with a bag of marshmallows, speaking in perfect French.

Before leaving the safety of the respawn he mentally replayed every moment up to his death, trying to triangulate where the RED Sniper was situated. Given that he couldn't have been behind him or to the left considering where he had been squatting, the BLU had a pretty good idea where he would be. Leaving his razorback where it had fallen he headed in a different direction. He'd go pick it up, along with his hat, once he dealt with his RED rival.
Climbing up behind a large outcropping of rocks he layed down, scope pointed towards where he had been standing, looking for that telltale red dot.

"Now I don't even know what you're talkin' about," RED cut back, still scanning the landscape, the fact that the rabbit spoke only in French- or spoke at all, for that matter- apparently a nonissue.

Huh, seemed to be sitting at REDs feet too. With his scope trained on the rabbit he watched it flick its ears back and forth, confirming that it was alive and not RED's future dinner. Well that was odd, but not really important. Sliding down on side of the rocky outcropping, the BLU leaned against a boulder and took aim. From this angle he could probably hit him without even putting a dent in his hat. Smiling slightly he fingers the trigger, taking another moment to line everything up, before firing.

The impact of the bullet against his temple knocked RED from his feet, gun flying from his hands as he hit the ground. The rabbit didn't even flinch, dragging the bag of marshmallows with it as it hopped away.
Fresh from the respawn, RED took to a different spot, using a cluster of cacti to hide his body. "Alright, you. Let's see how you like it when I'm usin' your head for target practice."
He kept his laser sight on a nearby rock out of BLU's sight until he could get the perfect shot.

All thoughts of the point and the fact that the rest of his team seemed to have disappeared, were far from his consciousness. All that remained was him, his gun, and his rival. Placing his trophy belt back on his head he ducked behind a crop of bushes, keeping an eye out for RED to return.
But his eye kept being drawn back to that damn rabbit. It seemed to be hopping closer and it had something with him. A bag of .. marshmallows. He arched an eyebrow at the thing as it jumped on a rock near him, laying down and munching a marshmallow as it watched him.
"Get outta here, yer gonna ruin my shot." He poked at it with the muzzle of his gun.

RED's eyes were drawn to the rabbit as well- ire burned behind them when he saw the muzzle of BLU's gun giving the animal a prod, his immediate thought that his rival was about to shoot the creature.
There was a guttural growl that prefaced his pulling the trigger, his next plan of action to run out before BLU could get back and grab the rabbit. It was for his own good, of course. The rabbit was in the way of a battle. A distraction- that was all.

"Now look what ya did! I told ya t' get out 'f here." He snarled that at the rabbit as if it would understand or care.
He knelt down, hiding his head behind a boulder before poking out and taking a shot.

With quick aim, he shot the bag of marshmallows the rabbit had in tow, careful not to hit the creature itself- he hoped the distraction would be enough, moving quickly from his position to one behind a rock formation.

"Oi! I said get out 'f here!" He threw a clod of dirt at the animal. "Yer bad luck."

RED heard BLU's shouting, peering over the rocks just in time to see the rabbit pounded by the dirt. "Oi! You blind? I'm over here, ya bloody piker!"

The rabbit said.
Wait a minute.
"Why th' hell can you talk?"
But the rabbit paid no heed, casually hopping away to sit in the shade of the watertower, watching the two Snipers.

He pulled the trigger, calling to his rival: "I'll knock your teeth out next time! Now turn around so I can shoot ya between the eyes!"
