There was nothing quite like a brief pause, or in the hedgehog’s mind a small slowing of speed, in life to relax the mind.

Manic was truly one of the better choices for company after all, he technically already knew him on some levels so there wasn’t a need to explain a great deal. The blue hedgehog didn’t need to tone things down quite as much, or act slightly more polite than usual, to make sure that he didn’t leave someone behind. Metaphorically. That combined with the fact that this was one of the few people who would probably get his sense of humour... Definitely one of the best ways to spend a day off.

Sonic made a very simply arm movement as though to brush off the statement, “Why think when I can move?” And simple enough the hedgehog did, a sharp movement to kick the little object back. In the back of his mind, he could have sworn that he’d heard something, something low; it didn’t register as anything important though so he brushed it off. What could really go wrong in place like this? ...Minus things like Earthquakes.

Sadly, Manic didn't move to return the pass. Instead his eyes had gne vacant and his arms dropped to his sides. The hacky sack thumped him in the chest, but his only reaction was to suddenly and almost mechanically about face and proceed to march off like a spiny green toy soldier, mumbling something somewhat unintelligible.

Nothing unusual about that right?

If that wasn’t odd then Sonic is truly a rat in hedgehog clothing, not that he’d never seen Manic seem a little lifeless at times but right now really was sort of weird. The blue one didn’t really bother to pick up the material ball as he went past it to follow the now wandering zombie-like being. He could always come back and pick it up later, or track it down and then pick it up, whichever worked out.

Right now there was the matter of making sure that this green hedgehog didn’t get himself into trouble or try to get other people into trouble. It’s not like he knew what to do at that moment, best to hang back a little and try to see if there was anything visible doing anything.

And if there wasn’t, Sonic had a plan B.

Either Manic had no idea Sonic was following him, or didn't really care in his current state. He simply wandered over to the nearest alley, plopped himself down behind a dumpster, and produced a small radio from his fanny pack.

"Come in Dr. Robotnik. This is Manic, over...Are you there?"

Granted him contacting Dr. Robotnik was apparently supposed to be a secret since he hadn't whipped the radio out at the park...but his tone, though not half as lively as was normal, might make a person wonder if the green hedgehog wasn't having trouble reaching him.

Guy was sitting around in his house, currently messing around the with 3STP device again. It was something that intrigued him really, since he couldn't quite figure it out. A device like that...what the people at home would love to see something like this!

He had no idea what was up with Manic, completely unaware of the situation at this point.

The blue hedgehog had always been one for leaping into new things, what good could come from sitting still after all? This time was no exception once he’d found the person he guessed would be needed, a simple and short message, a message which could be taken the wrong way given how little Sonic could actually say for detail as well as the fact that he hadn’t, well, said who he technically was.

It was rather literally a simple note to the effect of, “Manic needs your help” and “possible robot with info”... Of course, he missed out the whole part of said robot with a possible cure being incredibly dangerous. He lived for that type of thing, most people ended up being scared off by it, a shame really.

All part of the waiting game for the time being.

Guy about jumped out of his skin when he got the message. It wasn't anything that he would have expected, seeing as how nobody ever really bothered to message him.

Though when he looked at the message, he had no idea what to make of it. Tilting his head, he frowned. Well, if something had happened to Manic, he couldn't just respond to the message. So he tried to do what Manic taught him to do and locate the green hedgehog, before grabbing his things and heading out the door.

Whatever happened, Manic definitely was going to get help.

It didn't take him long to get to the area that he was tracking, and he looked around. His eyes finally spotted Manic, and...a blue hedgehog?

"I got a message about Manic...?"

For his part, Manic only turned a very blank stare on Guy for a long moment, not seeming to recognize or even really see him. Nothing other than his head so much as even twitched in the process.
