I'm a lyricist and singer who doesn't play an instrument. I have a good handful of songs that I've written over the years that I would love to be able to actually do something with (besides sing them to myself in the shower). I don't want to necessarily suggest myself as the answer to your problem, since I'm pretty much a 3-5 chord acoustic guitarist (although that being said, that pretty much does okay for playing some Dar Williams and transcribing the rest into playable chords) and that doesn't sound like what you're necessarily looking for.

HOWEVER I just moved to Chicago (Ukrainian Village) and I love pretty much all the same artists you do, so I wanted to wave and say hi, in case you're also open to the idea of just talking online and potentially hanging out sometime :D

Hey, you can never have too many friends. I know what its like to be new in town. Also 3-5 chords is more than I know, and better than finding a super professional musician would be finding someone I could get along with and be musically compatible with. Tell me a little more about yourself.
