9. the harm principle

Still behind, sigh. Week Two is always the hardest. Here's how much this story has eaten my life: I spent last night alternately lying awake and trying to figure out where it was going, and dreaming about how much I was going to fuck it up. Not sure about this part; Thomas is a really hard character to write.

Thank you so much! It makes me all kinds of happy that you think it reads like canon. I really appreciate your comments so much. ♥

Brilliant. I don't think I've ever read a Thomas POV, you pulled it off.

I love how Emily seems to be the Aunt Agony in the social circle, it's so fitting.

Thanks! He's definitely under-written in fic (and on the show!) so I'm really happy you thought it worked. :D

I;ve tried to give good comments on your other pieces, but the best thing I can say about this one is that from about 10 lines in until the end I just had a huge grin on my face the entire time.

It's not all happy but it reminds me just how much I loved Thomas throughout the series - he just didn't get enough interesting stuff to do/ Luckily the trailer for S4 looks like it's going to correct that problem :)

Also loved Cook in this - just the right balanced of occasional self-awareness and blind stupidity.

Dude, you always leave really thoughtful comments and I appreciate it so much, I really do. ♥ I'm so glad you liked Thomas in this! I hope he gets more screentime next series as well, because he was probably the most under-used character in series three.

"Pandora tells me you are still sleeping with Effy. Considering Freddie's feelings, it seems you are a bad friend to him as well."

BURN. I'd truthfully forgotten that Thomas had stood up for Cook with Johnny White. What a wonderful reminder. Loved all of this; I think you wrote Thomas perfectly, and that last line by Effy almost feels like a death knell...how stuck everyone seems to be, even when things aren't going particularly badly. ♥

Thanks! I think you're right that everyone seems to be a bit stuck at the moment, but I don't think that's going to last too long.

Wonderfully written. You write Thomas amazingly true to his character.
I'm so wanting to know what happens next XD.
