I know who asked this, because I've talked with him before about it. My view of it is that you need to believe what the Bible says to be a Christian. You can't accept Christ and think that he didn't do everything he really did. It's not a sin to deny the Bible, it's a rejection of the entire word of God. How did that verse go? "In the beginning there was the word, and the word was with God, and the word WAS God." Something like that, right? I don't think you can be a Christian and say the Bible is a lie. Apparently, some people think that God would allow his perfect UNCHANGING word to be, well, changed. IE: Modern day people changing what the Bible says about homosexuals to make a biased view of it for Christians. The people who don't believe the Bible therefore think that God REALLY believes that homosexuals are okay, but that the world hates them so much, they'd commit a hate crime and change the Bible ( ... )

I agree with derek. I don't think that you can be a christian and still beleive that the bible is not entirely true. If you believe that even one verse is a lie then you force yourself to reconsider the whole thing. Since the bible says that it IS 100% true, if you think that there is even 1 lie then you have to consider what else is false. If you start down that path you have to start with the story that requires the most faith to believe... Christ's resurrection. If you can't believe that then you are not a christian. "All scripture is God breathed" so to doubt that God is who he says he is, namely the all powerful, unable to sin(and there4 lie), creator of the universe, is to wonder what he really is or if he really even exists. And if he does exist, what kind of God is he? If he can't even be truthful about himself, do you really want to put your hope of salvation in him anyway ( ... )

yeah. i agree with what yall said, i just think its sad. like what brandon said, how can you be a christian and not trust God as the almighty that He is?

but, like i said, if you all know who i was talking about, you know more than i do. ciara actually told me about this conversation she was having with him and asked me what i thought. she didn't tell me who it was. but anyway, thanks for the feedback. i appreciate it! :)
