so...question for yall

so i have a question. i was talking about it with someone today and i wondered what yall thought. this guy asks if you have accepted jesus, know he died for you, know you're a sinner, believe you are a christian, BUT you don't think the bible is completely true. he wants to know are you really saved

I agree with derek. I don't think that you can be a christian and still beleive that the bible is not entirely true. If you believe that even one verse is a lie then you force yourself to reconsider the whole thing. Since the bible says that it IS 100% true, if you think that there is even 1 lie then you have to consider what else is false. If you start down that path you have to start with the story that requires the most faith to believe... Christ's resurrection. If you can't believe that then you are not a christian. "All scripture is God breathed" so to doubt that God is who he says he is, namely the all powerful, unable to sin(and there4 lie), creator of the universe, is to wonder what he really is or if he really even exists. And if he does exist, what kind of God is he? If he can't even be truthful about himself, do you really want to put your hope of salvation in him anyway?

Well thats just my opinion, and it probably didn't make a whole lot of sense, but I hope you and derek will have wisdom when talking to this Joe Doe. I'll be praying for him and all of you.
