the beads are actually different colors, but mostly they are silver, copper and gold colored.

it is slow. it isn't particularly difficult.
i am using an AMAZINGLY wee crochet hook to do this (per instruction). size 14.

There's lots of 'em. I was just a table leader at this episcopal one (though, really, it's ecumenical).
