I really have been terrible about posting, haven't I? I think it's because I end up feeling guilty spending a significant amount of time writing anything that isn't course-related, but since I also bear the title of Master Procrastinator I end up writing NOTHING AT ALL. Similarly, I got stuck trying to figure out a different, better style for the ( Read more... )

I love Watson as adrenaline junkie. I love Lestrade and his drug bust. I love Mycroft beyond all reason. I love how, unlike the 2009 movie, and somewhat contrary to intuition, everything about it felt like Sherlock Holmes. IT WAS JUST WONDERFUL OKAY.

YES, EXACTLY. I totally called the Mycroft twist (okay, strictly speaking I said, "Nooo, it's way too early to be Moriarty. It's got to be Mycroft being all Secret Service-y! Right? Dammit, I don't want it to be Moriarty!"), and their interaction at the end was AWESOME, especially when you realised that Mycroft doesn't even know that he sounds like a supervillain. And hooray, I will see more tomorrow!

I TOTALLY CALLED MYCROFT TOO. I was watching it on the phone with my mother because that's how we do, and literally, at the same time, when Mycroft made the crack about Sherlock's flair for the dramatic and John like, lol'd, we hollered "MYCROFT!"
You're right. I don't think he even realizes how sketchy he sounds. He works for the law, dammit!

Can't wait for tomorrow.

How much fanfiction do you suppose there is already?

Aheh, I can tell you for a fact that the answer is quite a bit. There are comms already, and if the episodes continue it's poised to become the Next Big Thing in fandom.
