So very many good things.

Okay, I'm quite poor and worried about my parents (who are still stuck in Abu Dhabi while the universtiy in Oman dicks around with paperwork), but I have been cheered up by a number of awesome things this week. Mostly fictional things, but that is, alas, how I roll ( Read more... )

Go Starzend!

Perhaps the excercise thing is like eating a live frog every morning: you know nothing worse can happen during the day and that makes the rest of the day good.

De-Lovely is good. I am forever grateful to it for introducing me to the work of Cole Porter.

Aw, froggie! Yeah, maybe it is like that. If it's at three in the afternoon, it kind of hangs over your whole day up until that point, but if you just wake up, have breakfast and go, it's over with and you can move on.

I keep trying to find decent YouTube videos of De-Lovely version of "Night And Day" (for obvious reasons), but I am thwarted at every turn so far. It makes me sad.

I think I might try your leek sausage recipe on Sunday, once I have procured a Leek. It sounds utterly delicious.

Don't write any more about District 9, or rant about it, until you have written your review. I so bid you. I find when I want to write about something in depth, and I instead talk about it in dribs and drabs, that the 'depth' part never gets written.

How much does the Uni gym cost?

Eee, see what you think of it. :D It was quite tasty, though Joel might not like it if he has that thing about one-dish meals. I don't tend to buy alcohol, so I can't really experiment properly, but it struck me as the kind of dish people make with cider or the like.

You're probably right about District 9 - I have found that if I wait too long and say too much, I feel like there's no point in writing any more because I feel like I've said everything. We're going to the library on Wednesday to get Sas' website up and running; I'll be spending that time writing up my backlog of reviews, so I'll probably do it then.

I don't know how much a full membership (using the machines, etc.) costs, but it's $40 for three months to go to all their hour-long classes. It's a pretty good deal.
