lol i remember the 1st jelly bracelets i got were when I was 6...from my favorite cousin in the whole world..she gave me like 20 of em! i dug them out a few months ago and was wearing them...thought it was funny i was *cool* for it..lol
i used to work at wal*mart and my friends and i would comment on the music they'd play...like Bobby Brown, or Color Me Badd, all the 'cheesy' 80s 'luv-esque' songs, etc. lol and all the 16 yr olds would look at us like we were insane when we'd sing along.
And seeing your sn, my friend, Carrie had an entire conversation with a customer about the Cure because she had a Cure necklace on or something of that nature, and the 16 yr olds that were on register around her looked dumbfounded *shakes head* lol
And then of course you go to the toy dept. and see all the CareBears and (new) Strawberry Shortcake dolls and you hear all the kids go 'Look Mommy! New toys!!!!' and you hear the Mom go "Those aren't new...I had those when I was your age" That's like a slap to the face! lol I'm only 21 and these people make me feel ancient! lol
I remember a couple years ago Slap Braclets made a short comeback. Drug stores and WalMart had them in buckets at the register for like a buck a peice. Those brought back some good memories.
I still remember being one of the first cool kids in my school to take cloth off and wear a kick ass silver one. C'mon, you know you all did that to atleast one slapper.
And me and some friends went to laser tag last for a 21st bday. Just to mess around, a gumball machine had them. We all got one and wore them all night. Good times...
I never did that. I truly believed that if you took the cloth off, it would take off your hand. Come to think of it, I might have done that once at a slumber party. And then we did Bloody Mary in the mirror.
Yea we never took the cloth off either back in the day. I remember mine was this neon orange color. I hated the color but I loved beating the crap out of my friends with it.
We would slap that thing on each other's wrist as hard as we could. The first one to give up was the wuss for the day.
We were cruel kids now that I think of it, lol...
Remember Gleeking and Sikes...and Fresh. and one armed overalls??
