We're getting old
A few months ago I went to Kragen to get some car parts.
The girl at the counter was wearing some jelly bracelets. Apparently they're making somewhat of a comeback.
I started up a conversation with her.
" I remember when we used to wear those in 4th and 5th grade."
She replies, "Only girls I know where them now."
"Well back in my day all the guys and girls wore them. We all shared and traded them. Of course I wasn't going to be caught dead wearing a pink or purple one but the guys did wear them too, " I said.
"Oh how cool."
"Yea, I think Madonna was the reason why we all started wearing them, you know back in '86 or '87," I replied.
Her response hurt.
She said, "Oh that's right around when I was born."
My reply? "OUCH!"
I'm 26, I don't feel that old to be having a conversation like this damnit!!!!
